Before we start
Note that the country today is called Afghanistan was larger than the Map to date (2000) and in the course of many years it has changed its names for many times but the people have always called themselves Afghans (Adghan appeared in writings dating back as old as 1000 BCE) time to time it was the largest part of Persia. The Afghans were more warlike people sometimes even Persian (western Iranians) had hard time dealing with Agyans. So the Persians had to make an offer for Afghans in order to range war with Indus vally. Afghanistan was a country that was never conquered and they had one simple rule (You keep for what you kill) an Ancient Agyan rule. Thought the Iranians were sick of Afghans for maintaining its control BUT this land was essential for them and their economic issues of trading with the FAR EAST (China) and South Asia (Indus valley). "The history of Afghanistan is one of resistance to various conquerors, armed bands, and coups d'etat. It is interesting that Alexander the Great, while conducting his conquest toward the east, took five years to break the resistance of the Pushtun tribes. Ten centuries later, Arab conquerors met the desperate resistance of the Afghan tribes. Six times they launched an offensive against Kabul and the area of the central plateau. Each time, they were forced to withdraw, having suffered heavy casualties." http://www.kansaspress.ku.edu/grasovintroduction.html Bellow you will see the some of the empires of Afghanistan and its Kings.

2000-1400 records are found but Kings can't not be Identified (Mostly the Vadic Area and Kings were treaded as gods and goddess and from Sanskirt is the only names we got which mension Kings like Jossul Canpatria from Kabert river Which is Kabol River. In sanskirt it also tell people how the land which is now Afghanistan was divided into 19 countries or with 19 rulers and there is alway wars between Dosa, Paterkatic,Pasirro, Soulo, ManKabura, Goessaia, Satssia, etc. So They could be Kingdoms, Kings, or different people But we Know the Fact that these all names are related to Afghanistan because the Ric Vada clearly mentions the Rivers and Mountians of Afghanistan for example Goddess/King Vissuo was standing in the river of Hiraoodia which is Aria river of Heart
